9th Grade Speech

Three objects

My name is Jami Wahl and you will be learning about some of the objects I value most. I’ll be starting my speech with a little story. When I was four years old I played my first game of soccer, the score was 4-1 and I scored all the points. So sometime in my first game of soccer I had scored a point for the other team. My objects are a necklace (which shows my love for God), a Husker hat (that represents where I grew up) and a sports medal (that shows my love for sports).

My first object is a necklace from my step grandmother. The necklace is a clear cross. This necklace represents my love for God and when I wear it, it shows others my faith in Him. It’s important that my step grandma gave it to me because with my parents being divorced I have an abnormally large family and it’s amazing that almost all of us believe in the true God.

My second object is the Husker logo. The hat represents how I was born in Lincoln Nebraska and all the bonding memories I’ve had going with friends and family to Husker sports games like volleyball and football and more. This is important to me because where I was born will always have a place in my heart and my friends and family are the most important people in my life.

My last object is a sports medal. I play volleyball, basketball, soccer and track. Sports in general are super important in my life because I am always playing a sport throughout the year. I also grew up playing sports since I was four years (which you learned in my story). Today, sports is just a part of my life because I have been participating in them for so long.

I hope you all learned more about me today and I can’t wait to learn about all of you. Thank you so much for listening.
